It’s official, I am a member of the Team in Training CT team for the Rock ‘N Roll Marathon in San Diego!!

I went to an informational meeting this morning and got PUMPED UP!  I can’t believe the number of people who are affected by blood cancers every day, it really puts things into perspective.  I am so thankful for my health and for the good health of my family, and I definitely take it for granted most of the time.  By the time I left I had a new t-shirt (score!), and my whole Team In Training packet to get me started with fund raising and training!  I really hope Katie does this marathon too, it would be so much fun to do a race together!  Maybe we could even cross the finish line holding hands like Caitlin and Lauren did!  I can’t wait to blog about the training and the marathon itself!

Before the meeting I enjoyed a protein shake.  1 cup almond milk, 1 nanner, 1 scoop protein powder, and lots o’ cinnamon

When I came home I did the Kenpo P90X video in my new TNT shirt!

The back of the shirt says “CONNECTICUT CURES CANCER”.  Love it.

(this was actually after the workout, which is why the TV is not showing P90X 🙂 )

Yesterday work was INSANE.  I got into an argument with a client and it was just not good.  Luckily I had some good food to get me through the intense day 🙂

Romaine lettuce, yellow pepper, tofu, tomatoes, and pom seeds 🙂

I also had a nice snack mid way through the crazy afternoon.  Trail mix with raisins and dried cranberries.

Last night Stephen and I went to the Rascal Flats and Darius Rucker (aka: Hootie from Hootie and the Blowfish!) concert at Mohegan Sun casino.  I LOVE COUNTRY MUSIC!  And I love love love Rascal Flats!  I am also now a big fan of Darius Rucker!  I love that he has switched his focus to country music.  He sounded amazing last night and I downloaded his album this morning.

Before we left for the concert we enjoyed a nice Japanese dinner!

When I got home from work Stephen surprised me with some organic strawberry beer!  The man knows me so well 🙂

After we ate it was off to the concert!!! In front of the Rascal Flats sign!

And the main act, RASCAL FLATS!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!
